The beauty of architecture begins with the facade and ends with the roof. As the “fifth facade” of a building, the roof not only serves as a shelter from wind and rain, but also determines the overall shape and temperament of the building. Among numerous tile types, trapezoidal roof tiles have become the preferred choice for industrial buildings, public facilities, and even modern residential buildings due to their excellent drainage efficiency, strong wind resistance, and concise and powerful longitudinal lines.

And what gives these metal coils a “trapezoidal skeleton” is the core equipment – the AG Panel Roofing Tile Machine Trapezoid Roll Forming Machine. It transforms cold and hard steel plates into roof armor that combines functionality and rhythm.

Equipment Introduction: A fully automatic metal shaping system that defines trapezoidal aesthetics

The AG Panel Roofing Tile Machine Trapezoid Roll Forming Machine is a set of cold bending equipment specifically designed for producing metal roof tiles with trapezoidal cross-sections (usually large wave heights and wide wave distances).

It integrates hydraulic unwinding, servo feeding, multi pass continuous roll forming, high-precision punching/gap punching, fixed length flying shear, and automatic palletizing. Simply place the color steel coil, galvanized coil, or aluminum magnesium manganese alloy coil on the material rack, and the production line will operate fully automatically, instantly imparting symmetrical or asymmetrical trapezoidal waves to the flat metal. The formed tiles have a straight angle, firm wave peaks, and smooth cuts, perfectly meeting the strict requirements of modern roofs for waterproofing, wind resistance, and long span laying.

Application scenario: Roof main materials that span functionality and aesthetics

The tiles produced by the trapezoidal roof tile forming machine, with their superior physical properties and flexible lines, have become the main paving force in the following scenarios:

• Large span industrial plants and logistics warehouses:
The trapezoidal tiles have a super strong spanning ability, which can reduce the density of purlins and lower the amount of steel required for the plant skeleton. Paired with FRP daylighting panels of the same type, it achieves large-scale natural lighting on the roof, saving energy and environmental protection.

• Sports venues and high-speed railway stations:
In large public buildings, trapezoidal tiles are often used in conjunction with upright locking systems. Through precise edge rolling and corner bending processing by a molding machine, it provides a perfect waterproof and decorative base for curved domes or large sloping roofs.

• Agricultural greenhouses and livestock sheds:
For facilities in agriculture that require ventilation and insulation, the steep height of the trapezoidal tile side walls facilitates the opening of ventilation openings, resulting in more efficient airflow organization and less accumulation of dust and snow.

Core feature: The “rigidity” of trapezoid originates from the “precision” of technology

Our trapezoidal roof tile forming machine has achieved breakthroughs in efficiency and process limits, truly achieving “fast and stable”:

1. Ultra high peak, one-time molding without rebound
The soul of trapezoidal tiles lies in the peak height (usually up to 18mm to 75mm or more) and steep sidewalls. We use large-diameter heavy-duty rollers and a graded progressive rolling design to ensure that the metal can still be accurately shaped under ultimate tension, with straight and full peaks, and to prevent rebound and corner collapse. The formed tiles have a large moment of inertia and extremely strong bearing capacity, which can easily span large distances between purlins and reduce the cost of lower support structures.

2. Composite cross-section, customizable functional ribs
Different from ordinary single-layer tile press machines, this equipment supports synchronous forming of longitudinal reinforcement ribs, middle wind resistant ribs, and double-sided overlapping male and female buckle edges during production. The unique male and female rib design can achieve a tight fit between tiles, combined with specialized sealing strips, to achieve “mechanical structural waterproofing” and fundamentally eliminate capillary leakage.

3. Online punching and gap making, ultimate paving efficiency
The equipment can integrate a servo hydraulic punching system to synchronously complete the punching and cutting of nail holes, lock edge gaps, or condensate water flow channels at the tile overlap during the production process. The spacing between holes is precisely controlled by PLC, with an error of less than ± 0.3mm. During on-site installation, there is no need for secondary drilling, and nails can be directly locked, greatly improving construction speed and installation accuracy.

4. High adaptability flying saw, perfectly responding to wave sections
Trapezoidal tiles have large undulations in cross-section, making them prone to saw blade shaking and cutting deformation during cutting. We use a hydraulic tracking flying saw or mold flying shear system, where the saw blade and the plate speed are completely synchronized. The tool path is optimized for trapezoidal contours, achieving mirror level cutting with zero burrs and no collapse. Even if the thickness of the board reaches 0.8mm to 1.5mm, the cut surface remains flat as before.

5. Intelligent flexible switching, multi tile co linear production
In response to the common demand for trapezoidal tiles with various wave distances or different coverage widths in engineering, the equipment supports quick change spacers and roller combinations or independent double row forming systems. It can complete specification conversion in a relatively short period of time, and even achieve simultaneous production of roof tiles and main tile accessories on one machine, greatly reducing the total equipment investment of customers.
